I am a portrait photographer and Photoshop painting artist located in Bellevue, Kentucky, just across the river from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.  I specialize in professional headshots, classic portraiture, and pet portraits.

I continue to challenge myself to improve my photography.  While initially self-taught, since 2011 I have studied photography formally through classes, mentor programs, conferences, and workshops, having earned the designation of Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).  I am active in Kentucky and Southwest Ohio affiliate chapters of the PPA and the American Society of Photographers.  I have studied digital painting since 2019 with several noted teachers.

My images have won awards at the state, district, and international level.  Several of my images have been published, including in two Capture Cincinnati books and in the World Choir Games commemorative book.  Since 2014, twenty-one of my images have merited in the International Photographic Competition, sponsored by the PPA. Nine of them were selected for publication in the prestigious Imaging Excellence Collection and Showcase Books.  Four of those images won Kodak, Fuji, or CPP Awards.

Outside of photography, I am a classically-trained musician, having spent most of my first career as a middle school music teacher.  I play French horn in several local community ensembles and was a member of the Christ Church Cathedral Choir in Cincinnati for many years.  I also am active in several other ministries at the cathedral.

My family currently consists of two rescued Pomeranians, Roxie (12), a major little alpha personality who considers herself the "Boss Lady"; and Auggie (7), a big, sweet Mama's boy.
